Down Up North is a group of
parents and families with
individuals that have Down
syndrome.  Our goal is to
provide support and
encouragement through various
activities such as our monthly
parent group, the Buddy Walk
and parent-to-parent mentoring.

By working together within our
community, we hope to create
happier, healthier lives through
love to our children with Down
syndrome.
Parent Group Is Back from Summer Break!
Did you miss it?  Yeah, we did too!  We are back from summer break and want to
make sure everyone knows they are free to join; parents, kids, families and even
your friends!  We are starting the best year yet.  Check out the
EVENTS page.
Give the Gift of Warmth This Winter!
If you have gently used or new hats, mittens or jackets, the Plys family will be
collecting them and giving them to those in need.  They have a desire to provide for
the needs of others; especially those with physical needs!  Please bring your items
to the Buddy Walk (9/28/2008 Pioneer Hall) or contact Patrick, patrickplys@aol.com
Buddy Walk Sign Missing from Pioneer Hall
With some of the wind today, we think our Buddy Walk sign fell down and may have
found a new home.  Please let us know if you are keeping it safe for us or have
found it!  Thank you!  bbirman@downupnorth.org OR laurasplys@aol.com
Mom's Group Changes Location
If you are planning on attending the upcoming Mom's group, it has moved to Thirsty
Pagan Brewing in Superior, WI.  Meeting is at 6pm.  Check out the
